Inventor 6 Revision Table is very usefull. Except that I want to use my own format to match the companies existing drawing blanks.

Is there a way to save the table format once you have edited it and then call up this version onto a drawing sheet?

Even better is it possible to combine this with a drawing border or title block so it appears automatically?

Regards
Nick

If you change it, it changes in all the sheets.
If u change it in your template it will change in all of your new drawing.

Good luck

Thanks for your reply.

How do I save it in a template? I have tried this but everytime I call up the template the revision table is missing.

Hi Nick...

I haven't tried this with the revision table (and don't have Inventor on my home machine - so I can't try it), but to confirm that you are saving the template correctly:

Under Tools > Application Options > File Tab, your template directory location is specified. Save your modified drawing template to the folder that's pointed to there (by default, C:\ProgramStupidMicrosoftNamingSystemFiles\Autodesk\Inventor6\Templates...)

Then start a new drawing selecting your modified template.

If you already knew that then.... I haven't been very helpful have I!? :)

I beg to differ. I just created a new IDW file, inserted a Revisions Table and edited it so it was how I wanted it. Deleted it and then put a new Revision Table in and the format held. I then saved this into my template directory with a new template name to test. I started a new IDW and used that as my template and when I inserted a Revision Table it was back to the original format. Did not hold the table format I created.

Any other suggestions? Please? :O)

Thanks,
Scott
