Rewinding Old Motor 1

WHERE WE STAY WE HAVE THE POWER FREQUENCY OF 50 HZ @ 240 VOLTS BUT I HAVE 2 SINGLE PHASE MOTORS WITH ME WITH A 60 HZ RATING WHICH I HAVE USED ON THE 50HZ DUTY, BUT RECENTLY IT JUST BURNT, I AM PLANNING TO REWIND THAT FOR FUTURE USE BUT THE WINDERS HAVE SUGGESTED TO ME NOT TO WIND IT, BUT I REALLY NEED THAT TWO MOTORS TO WORK AT MY WORKSITE, ANY IDEAS WHAT I SHALL DO.
HELP APPRECIATED.

Buy a new single phase 50hz motor. Unless the motor is something really unusual its probably cheaper to buy one than to rewind anyway.

It depends on Labour rates where you are. In North America the answer is to through it away.
If you are somewhere that Labour is cheap it may be worth to rewind. This must be a union phone. It insists on capitalizing Labour.

Do the cost/benefit analysis. At that rating, it would be cheaper and better to get a new one since the old ones could have more hidden issues other than winding.
