Dear friends,
This should be an easy one, (I hope).

We have to repair a stainless steel ribbon mixer used in the food industry. The main shaft uses sealings to prevent the powder to leak, and to prevent strange particles to go in. The shaft is sealed with a teflon bushing, pressed into the shaft. The problem is that the small teflon blurs that are eroded over time end inside the mixer.

I would like any suggestion on a sealing system for ribbon mixers. We need this seal to be at the same time sanitary and leak-proof.

Thanks,

sancat

The Air mizer PS seal from Inpro may be a good solution. There is a case history on this seal in the March 2002 Powder and Bulk Engineering magazine.
