I am still failry new to this, but I was asked today to find a software package enabling us to design work cells offline and develop our robot programs. Our plans contains 12 cells each with about 6 Nachi handling and\or welding robots. So far I have found RobotMaster from Jabez Technologies Inc. and Camelot Robotics. Please help me with some reccomendations (pros and cons of each) or other places to look.
Thanks!

I haven't used those robots but I've used Fanuc (Karel language). Aren't the files just ASCII text commands? If so you can just create them with Notepad and download them to the robot.

I worked for FANUC and know they have their own simulation software that you can insert native 3D models into and program the robots in. It's called SimPRO. Programming is done using a virtual teach pendant.

Not sure what the competitors have out there for non FANUC robots. I'm sure there are similar programs out for other manufacturers.

I made a spreadsheet of what I could find on the market a couple years ago. Send me an email through my website and I'll send it to you. It has some minimal info on about 15-16 packages I was able to find on the 'net.
