I have been requested to conduct Rockwell Hardness tests on 1350 Aluminum H12 material. Never have tried to do a Rockwell Test on Aluminum before, and to add to the conundrum, I am working without pre provided specs/standards for reference. Rockwell H, with a 1/8 indenter and 60 load was the only scale that gave me a reading on my Clark Hardness Tester. I don't have access to a Brinell or any other tester. Is there a reference standard, ASTM or ANSI that discusses HARDNESS TESTING of 1350 Aluminum. ASTM B233, and B609 did not seem to help. Or where would I find conversion information from Rockwell H to lets say.. Brinell.
