OK I'm a little embarrassed that I can not figure out how to do this so go easy on me. It seems like a pretty simple part? I tried to do one tab an add the cyc. part as a extrude to both side then do a circle pattern but it says cannot patter the base flange? I have tried adding a cutout in the cylinder then add a flange, even adding a extrude with the bend in it but still cannot get it to flatten? Here are some pics to see what what I'm trying to do.

in the sheet metal part there will be this a solid part because I could not get a sheet metal part to work.

What CBL means is "Is your cylinder split once axially?" This is a requirement for cones and cylinders in SW sheet metal.

Thanks aplejack i did not think about making flats. it works...not to crazy about it but if that turn out to be the only way then that's it.
