Hi Guys...just joined...thanks in advance for your help and knowledge.

I'm a musician/recording engineer building a new studio, and I'm running into the same "romex cabling in conduit" problem from the previous thread. The floors and ceilings are 12" concrete, and there is typical wood framing here and there for isolations booths, mic closets, etc.

I'm running the standard romex stuff in the walls, but when the wall meets the 26' wide ceiling, I need to go across the bare concrete to the center for lighting receptacles, then bore through the 12" to get upstairs.

So the romex will be in the conduit for +/- 13' before it gets upstairs and enters another stud wall.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Michael

A box at the end of the conduit and a splice between the romex and the non-romex conductors in the conduit.
