hi everyone
On wind diagram zone 3 and 5 i have both negative and positive values of 25psf.
In middle of a flat roof i have rafters tie to a ledger that in turn ties to a bearing wall.
To simplify, if tributary area 500sf, A35 tie =1kip,
My calc : total wind load 25#*2*500sf/1kip=25000/1000=25 ties.
if the ledger 25ft long, i wd space them 12" oc. between ledger and the wall ?
