I'm wondering if it would be adviable to try and squeeze an IC between the SC and the intake manifold??

Do drag racers do this or do they just lower the compression to account for these temps??

There's room under the hood but I'm wondering if the IC would really create problems with airflow in the manifold. The SC benefit is just so small with out the IC on it.

Any other ways to cool this air?? I'm no sure I like the idea of water injection right at the intake manifold.

TIA!

Look at Blower Drive Services website, sorry, I dont have it here, but a Google search will find it. They make one, primarially for Marine apps, as it is fairly tall.

PFM Products makes an intercooler. If height is too much, consider ducting through an intercooler. My SC was adapted to a 4 bbl intake so I mounted a 45* plate in the adapter and 2-1/4" tubes out each side above and below the plate. These ran through a Setrab intercooler with a Dwarf racing fuel tank for ice water, a water pump, and a small radiator/fan to help. There is an excellent article on water/air intercoolers on

Good article, thanks!

Do you have a picture of what you did?? I'm having trouble envisioning it?

Go to then click on rides then scroll halfway down the center column until you get to Phil's inlines, then click on the picture to see my other.

I get it, nice!!

You put it 45* front to back. Then take it out on the "down" side and put it back in on the "up" side. Nice idea!!
