Hellow

I want to simulate an trebuchet.
kind of a model:
I want to simulate the complete model in the motion environment. But i have some difficulties with the modelling of the rope. Is there a way to model a rope in NX. If this would be possible, is it also possible to load the rope in the motion?

I don't know that you wouldn't be better to create a texture to shade and perhaps animate, but the attached is an example of a sweep which can be used to create a rope like solid.

Thanx for the reply, but is there a way to load this rope in to the motion and apply the properties of a rope to this body. Like there are you can only pull to a rope but not push, and it bends also very easy.
I don't know if i expressed myself good enough? I hope i did.

I think there is no possibility to use deformable parts, such as ropes, belts, hoses, springs in motion analysis.
As I know Autodesk Inventor 2010 has this feature.

Depending upon how many degrees of freedom that you want you can easily create a deformable rope of some sort or another even using the simple example that I posted earlier.
