Any one know of a pneumatic deburring tool like this (see link) that isn't actuated by a hand lever? I'd like the same style but to acuate it via a solenoid valve signaled by a robot. The robot will present the part to a degating fixture. Google has not been helpfull.

Thanks

A more suitable forum might be the Mechanical engineering other topics Forum forum404

... but as a kluge workaround, you could wire or tape the handle closed & use an in line solenoid valve to supply the air.

Yah thought of that type of stuff but would rather not do that.

Thanks I posted my question in that forum. Thought someone here might have seen or used something similar.

Rotozip uses 1/4" collets; I have used Foredom flex-shaft grinders in an industrial environment, but the collet was only 1/8". That was several years ago, and they may have some powerful enough to handle 1/4" collets.

I'd contact dynabrade and see what they have to say. They are very friendly and helpful, and may be able to custom make or modify an existing unit for you. I know they do lots of repair and customization right there in Buffalo, NY.
