I am trying to draw a rotary embossing die. The die is for an embossing press that is heated and rolls a pattern on to a wood shape as the piece is fed through a machine. The part we are trying to emboss is convex on the top surface (the die is concave). The pattern is a criss cross pattern that has 6 slashes that cross the width of the die at 50^ from parralel from the axis of rotation from left to right and then 6 slashes 50 degrees from the axis of rotation from right to left. I projected a curve from a line drawn at 50 degrees to get a path to follow for a sweep across the face of the die. I then arrayed the sweep feature around the center of the axis of rotation to get the pattern all the way around the die. I then repeated for the pattern on the other angle. My problem is that the 2 patterns on the face of the die are not supposed to cross. I can remove the 2 elements from one array that do not belong there at all,but then there are 3 elements that just need to be trimmed back to where they intersect the sweep going the other direction. Is there a way to trim back a sweep that intersects another sweep, without laying out every path manually and not using an array.
