Is there a way to rotate text and other items in place? I want to select all text and rotate it 90 degrees about itself, so that its origin doesn't move. Is this possible?

Thanks!

Just select the text and you should be able to move it. Is the text a block of text?

Well, I mean that I have hundreds of existing pieces of text that I need to rotate about themselves 90 degrees. As far as I know, I can't do that in Microstation 7, but in version 8 they made a command for it...?

after you select ROTATE tool, if you expand the box at the bottom, there is a "about element center" option that you can try and see if it works for you.

I found out that the "about element center" option was not available in version 7, unfortunately. :(

there is a mdl to do this called scangle.ma scangle.m it allows you to batch change the Angle, Scale, Size, Font of Text; Scale, size, you'll have to search the net to find it.. I nolonger have it for v7 but you might find it on a vault cd or bentley old public ftp might still have it..
