Hello,

I just saw at amazon a book about rotordynamics from Donald Bently. Because I did not find it in libraries for a preview, I wanted to ask here. Is it good ? I need a more practical book (certainly with the typical mathematics, good explained).

Thanks for your comments

Bently and Muszynska worked together and both wrote books on Rotodynamics. I have the book by Muscynska. Bently wrote in the forward that both books generally cover the same topics but Muszynska's book is the more theoretical and his book (Bently's) is the more practical.

Bently's book is very good. You should also look into Machinery Malfunction Diagnosis and Correction by Robert C. Eisenmann.

Eisenmann's book is a more application specific approach, but I agree Bently's book is very good. I even have my copy signed by Mr B himself.
