I developed a GO / NOGO gauge for external major spline Ø173 ±0.15.
Is there any designed concept to verify ROUNDNESS (0.100mm) also?
Thank you

Only if there is a seperate roundness specified on the print, runout, or concentricity.
Otherwise you have covered. Runout would require an independent verification with dial indicator, and spinning the part on its datum. With centers, or tooled on a datum. Size and roundness are separate verifications. Unless the the diameter and the roundness are the same tolerance. For example if size tolerance is .0005 inch tolerance and roundness specified is .0005 inch , gages can verify both. If your roundness requiremen .0005 inch, and diameter size is .005 inch. Those would require separate verification. And depending on the quantity of parts. Can be verify several ways.

As I said feature size tolerance is +/- 0.15, and roundness required 0.1mm
What is the design spec.?

There are reasons for requiring rounds, that affect other features. The design spec should be on the print. If it is not then it becomes a design requirement of the print. All the fiameters have to be round with in .1mm.do a verification with a micrometer if even teeth, or with dial indicator. All teeth diameters must be round within .1mm.

major spline Ø173 ±0.15.
Required ROUNDNESS (0.100mm)

My question is

What is the gauge design specification for ROUNDNESS check?
