Run Catia V5 on Window 8

I used to run CATIA V5R20 on the laptop running Window 7 and it works fine. When I upgrade my operating system to Window 8.1, CATIA does not work anymore. I try to run Compatibility Troubleshooter and change the Compatibility Mode to Window 7 but the application does not work too. Does anybody have any tips to get around this issue or I have to reinstall Window 7 back. Thanks for your inputs.

Hi,

As far as I know, on DS web site you can't find a CATIA release working on Windows 8, I suppose you have to reinstall Win 7.

Hi,

Well, last time when I checked I saw this and I didn't see Windows 8...is true that I saw on other place on their web site that v6 can run on WIndows 8 but you know how it is, if your hardware is not certified then thats why you have problems with CATIA...
