Does anyone know of a source for CAD files of the RUS overhead distribution standard details (Bulletin 1728F-804)?

Many years ago we got the ones that they had converted to CAD directly from RUS in DC just by furnishing the disks. Don't know about now though. Have you given them a call?

When I say many years ago, we were using 5.25 inch floppies then!

A few years back, we bought a set of TVPPA standards that included .dwg files of distribution standard details. These are similar to the RUS standards.

They might still be available. It was Tennessee Valley Public Power Association R&D Projecdt EC-5R, October 1992

I had tried to call a nearby RUS office a while back but they never responded. Today I was able to reach someone in Washington DC. They said I need to send a letter requesting the CAD files on a CD, with a statement that there would be no unauthorized changes to the files (whatever that means). Supposedly there is no cost. I sent off a letter. We'll see what shows up.

jghrist - I found the TVPPA CD advertised on a web site, but I was hoping to get the actual RUS version. I'll try that if the CD from RUS doesn't work out. Thanks.
