Dear All,
Background :
Stainless Steel Grade 316 plates were cold bended to manufacture 150x80 L angles for fixing access ladders at marine pier.
Problem :
After a few days of the installation of these ladders, the stainless steel angle plates used at the joints were found to have a layer of rust. Our Clients are of the opinion that the material may not be 316 grade, but at the same time we have verified the grade by testing it chemically and found moly % 2.3 (2-3 for 316 grade)
Question :
What is the reason for such rust? Any remedy for the same ??
Please Help
