Greetings

Please kindly advise me, I have a WPS qualified for PNo.1 Grp No.01 to PNo.1 Grp No.01 (A106 Gr.B-A53Gr.b-API 5l Gr.B/X52 or Equivalent) . The drawing specified with material A36 Whose PNo is same (PNo.1). But the actual material received is EN 10025-2 S275 JR. Now this S275 JR is not available in ASME SEC-IX, it is an unassigned material to ASME SEC IX. Hence Please adivise me whether we can proceed welding with the same WPS.

The material you have received is equivalent to all the materials you have listed.
Take a written consent from your client / customer by providing them with the equivalence documentation.
Then carry on welding as per the WPS available with you.

No, you cannot use the same WPS as it is an unassigned material.
See QW 424.1

Mr. Sen

Even I produce the equivalency certificate. S275 JR is not having the PNo in asme sec IX . So how i could state both have same P NO.01. please advise.
Regards

You cannot state they are both P No.1
S275 JR does not have a P number so it is classed as unassigned.
You need a WPS that has been qualified with S275 JR.
