I understand that SA-516 Gr. 70 should be used for low temperature or medium temperature applications because at high temperatures graphitization can occur. Does anyone know at what temperature graphitization occurs and from whom can I get documented test data?

I don't specific data on 516-70, but it should start about 800°F.
See Thread 330-75390 there are some good references to Graphitization.
