I'm not able to find this material's Max. Allowable Stress value at Section II Part D – Table 1A.

Is it possible that P235GH is not listed in Section II Part D even though it appears in VIII-1 / TABLE UCS-23 ?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure, but it might be due to a Code case 2498?
Google ´asme code case 2498´ and the scribd search result may help you further.

This material was accepted for use in a code case pertaining to Section IV. The material is a straight line 9.9 Ksi and is limited to 500 deg F.

Correction this code case has not yet been approved by the standards commmittee for Section IV. It received two negatives on last ballot.

Then how come it's in the Code case book? My previous reply referred to Google's 3rd search result; obviously, due to Google's manipulation, this number can be anything, i.e. the 5th or the 1st search result.

Because this Grade was part of a material specification SA/EN 1002802 that was accepted by Section VIII-Div 1 in 2010. I went back this morning on C&S connect and this code case 2498 was incorporated. The allowable stress lines might not have been approved as of yet by Section II.

When ASME B&PV Code re-organized, Code Cases could be unique to a Code book section or be linked to multiple code book sections before approval by the respective standards committee. In the case I cited above, Section IV is limiting use of this material to 500 deg F max and a lower allowable stress value. Section VIII, Div 1 accepted use of the material specification with an allowable stress value of 14.9 Ksi up to 700 deg F.

So, now you can see why the allowable stress lines have not been introduced into Section II.
