According to a senior design eng of our firm, the correct material for this vessel (design temp= 100/-128 °C) is SA240 TP304L.
According to ASME Secc 2D (Metallurgical Phenomena), the only materials which do not show a decrease in the tensile yield nor ductility measured as percent elongation are those listed in tables 1B and 2B from section 2B (non-ferrous materials).
So I conclude that this material (SA240 TP304L) could be used only if impact testing is provided.
I'd like to know what you think about this.
Thanks,
Diego.
