Hi everyone. I'am little bit confused about these standards. J1349 should be the net bhp of an engine calculated from crankshaft with all accesories installed (like waterpump , alternator, etc). And the J1995 should be the bhp from same where and no accesories attached which is called gross power. But when I look for Volvo construction equipments they claim that there are only 1-2 hp between net and gross powers.(like 355 gross hp and 352 net hp). This cant be through , or in the J1995 std adding waterpump , fan, alternator or all of them is not an obligation.what you say ?

Hi, OsgurALAGOZ!
What to say? Volvo is Volvo, sales are sales, net is NOT gross! Anyone who tells you accessories don't require HUGE amounts of power (especially at RPM )is full of prunejuice!!!

did you ever look at the explanations of the SAE standards? this is from volvo website :
... Max power at, r/s (r/min) 32,0 (1 900)
... SAE J1995 gross, kW (hp) 122 (166)
... ISO 9249, SAE J1349 net, kW (hp) 121 (165)

only 1 hp between net and gross!! still nothing to say?
