Sand separator Vs Air Separator

As I am new in HVAC field could someone explain?

Air separator is used in Chilled water system? Where about Sand separator??

If you mean a chilled water system, a strainer will separate sand from the water.

If you are talking about air systems, air filters are what you need.

If you are talking about plumbing, a sand-oil trap is what you need.

You must be very specific.

Sand seperator is used in condenser cooling water loops to keep the sand out from the condenser tubes.You would find them in water cooled systems across the Middle East.
