I forgot to mention, bimr is corect, Jones is excellent, I especially like chapter 27 - Common Blunders.

You should also check out - 10 States Standards - Recommended Standards for Wastewater Facilities. Here in Florida, you need to justify any departure from these standards. It is very basic.
