SAP2000 Staged Construction "Change section" does't work

Hello guys, i'm working on sap2000 with staged construction for my thesis.

I'm trying to change the section of a beam, but it doesn't work. If I activate the estruded model, the section is still the same at the final stage. I created a very simple model to find the problem: A simply supported beam, with a section assigned (section_1). I created a different section in define -> frame section (section_2). I created

stage1: Add structure -> group -> "beam" (i created this group and added the beam frame)
stage2: Change section -> group -> "beam" -> frame -> section_2

With extruded model, in the final stage, I still see the the frame with section_1.

Why it does't work??? Please help me

When working with SAP2000 and attempting to change the section of a beam during staged construction, there are several steps and considerations that must be taken into account to ensure that the changes are applied correctly
1. Ensure that your model is set up correctly. You mentioned creating a simply supported beam and defining two sections (section_1 and section_2). Verify that both sections are properly defined in the “Define -> Frame Sections” menu.

2.Check if section_2 has been created with the desired properties (dimensions, material, etc.) and is not just a duplicate or an empty definition.

3. You have created a group named “beam” that includes your beam frame. This is essential for applying changes at different stages.
4. Double-check that the correct elements are included in this group by going to “Display -> Show Groups” to visualize which elements belong to “beam”.
5. Add structure (this should include your initial beam with section_1).
6. Change section (where you intend to change from section_1 to section_2).
7. Make sure that when you define Stage 2, you select the correct group (“beam”) and then apply the change to frame -> section_2.
8.When using the extruded model option, ensure that it is activated correctly for all relevant stages. The extruded model allows for visualization of changes in cross-sections over time.
9. After making changes in Stage 2, check if you need to re-run or update the analysis so that SAP2000 can process these changes effectively.
10.Run an analysis after changing sections, SAP2000 may not reflect those changes visually or in results.
11. Look for any warnings or errors during analysis which might indicate issues with how sections were assigned or how groups were defined.
12. Once you’ve confirmed all settings and run analyses appropriately, check the final output using “Display -> Show Frame Sections”. This will allow you to see if section_2 is being displayed correctly at the final stage.
13. By following these steps systematically, you should be able to identify where things might be going wrong in your staged construction setup within SAP2000.

Thank you for your quick response, sir. I tried all steps but, unfortunately, it does't work for me. I not even can't find any tutorial on google showing a simply working model with the "change section" action in staged construction (it's so frustrating[sadeyes]).
