save as selection

is it possible in catia to save as a selection? every time i want to save specific object all other objects needs to be hidden. is there any option to select object and save as?

File/Save management. This displays every part, drawing, product etc currently open- select which one you want to save, and you can save or save as.

It's also useful for arranging imported files, for instance if you like to have one folder for top level assemblies and one for child parts.

i'm talking about multiply bodies part..if i hit save as catia saves everything that appears on the screen.what i need is to select one part without hiding others and then save as..

tikito, you need to be very clear...you are taking about a part with multiple bodies...that means one opened file and is normal to save everything in this case when you hit save as...

If you want to save just a selected body, that means you need to create a new part with that selected body pasted inside...it can be done with a macro.

If this not what you are searching for, better post some images with much more explanations.

in NX when you export a part you can choose entire part or selection and then only selection will be exported.
i was looking for something like that in catia.as for now i'm just hiding all other objects and save pars as..
