Is it possible to save my IPW in nx3? My postprocessor for my 5 axis machine doesn't allow me to use one MCS.(something to do with drilling and tapping) So when making a 4 or 5 fixed axis program I need to use a 'fake' MCS and the problem is after my roughing operation I have to guess at excess stock and end up cutting a lot of air. I want to be able to save my IPW from one operation, and apply that IPW to a different MCS. Is there a setting for that or something because I can't find anything about saving IPW's.
Any help would be great. Thanks.

Is the "PREFERENCES", "MANUFACTURING PREFERENCES", "CONFIGURATION" have the box checked that reads "ENABLE LEVEL BASED IPW SAVED IN SEPERATE PART FILE"?

If the not this is a good point to start at...

Once the above is set when you "VERIFY" the Tool path in the 3D or 2D DYNAMIC settings there will be an option to"GENERATE IPW". Selct this and the facet type then Select "SAVE IPW AS A COMPONENT". This should create what you need. There are slight differnces in the selections between 2D and 3D, but this should get you in the Ball park.
