What is the hazard for a chip plant?

Depends on the building height, the height of the chip storage, and what the saw is cutting. Or is this a semiconductor fabrication facility?

Explosive Sawdust, proximity to the saw? What are you getting at?

yup thats it wood dust in the right concentration is an explosive risk. All you need is a nice spark!!

See FM data sheet 7-10 WOOD PROCESSING AND WOODWORKING FACILITIES
For the info you need on the hazard, FM data sheets are free.

Wood dust may not be a hazard if you deal with green wood.
As far as the possible hazards, you should state whether you are looking at all or either: property protection, public and employee safety.

chicopee,
Most of the wood would be brownish not green - only kidding. But if it "green" wood then I do not think there will be any dust just sludge!!!

OK, so you have seasoned wood, will it be dry or damp? About the perils in order to determine the hazards?
