Has anyone any idea what causes these scrambled renderings and how to solve/prevent it? See the attached example.
It happens in different versions of NX and in all rendering qualities. And if you got this error in a part file it stays there.

Check if the perspective distance is "reasonable". NX 6 : View - Camera - Edit.
I have seen a few cases when the perspective distance was "many kilometers" and the display got "splintered".
Try set the camera to "parallel" and render to see if this is the problem. Then set the perspective distance to some reasonable value.

It isn't so much the perspective distance itself as it is the distance relative to the settings of the clipping planes.

Try going to...

View -> Camera -> Capture and Edit...

...and going to the section of the dialog labeled 'Clipping' and selecting the button labeled 'Fit Planes to Extents' and then hitting OK. See if that solves the problem.

To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Perspective and/or Clipping Planes settings where the problem.
Can render good pictures again.

Thanks..
