Which companies manufacture the most efficient ones in the 1.5 to 3 ton range for a GSHP. Is there a best guess on a overall C O P when used in a dedicated, heat only mode, & capillary tube / metered orifice ?
This is needed due to very frequent power outages. Present metered orifice units have no problems. Expansion valves have had many more problems in critical installations.

I am a electronic drive designer being " dumped " on by cutbacks in our staff.

Normally most of the units in the range of 1.5 to 3 TR are equipped with Rotary compressors.
Off course Daikin Hitachi do offer with scroll compressors in some of the select models.
