SE will not reinstall

I have a licensed 64 bit version about 1.5 years old and it was working fine on Win7. I have not updated to the latest version so I can not call SE tech support. The program has not been used for about half a year and when trying to use it today I got a message saying it was not registered or needed reinstall. I have not changed any hardware.
I ran the repair from the install disk and it said all was fine.
Still I got the same error message.
I used the SE uninstall command, rebooted and then tried to install SE from scratch but now I am getting a message that an existing version of SE is installed.
How can I get rid of the hidden leftover stuff?
Any suggestions what caused my problems?

Download ccleaner and run the program.

Thanks RAMviking for a fast reply.
Unfortunately after running both Norton360 registry cleaner and ccleaner the problem is still the same.
Any other suggestions?
Is viking relating to your origin?

Update:
Eventually I found on the install DVD: d:\solid edge\spt\tools\SECleanupAll.exe
It fixed the problem.
