Hi,
I am trying to standardize sea coast treatment of HVAC equipment for where I work. This will affect the East coast. I will be trying to get different opinions and from those, along with research I will come up with my own.

1. How far from the sea coast would you consider applying treatment on HVAC equipment? Would FL be an exception to everywhere else (more stringent standards)?

2. What treatment would you suggest? Pros? Cons? It seems baked on phenolic is the gold standard but it is less efficient and costs more. Also adds about 12 weeks to delivery time. What about Adsil? Stainless Steel?

Thanks!

There was a posting on this very topic from December: "Protective coatings on ACCU in coastal area's"--might want to check out.

Thanks - that helps with the coatings. Any thoughts on distances that would be considered needing this special attention. I've heard ranges from 5 miles upwards to almost 100 miles from the coast (in FL, anyways).
