Seabed resistance -Lifting analysis

I am working on a lifting analysis for a subsea structure and need to estimate the seabed resistance when lifting subsea. I know that the structure will settle 2 ft into the soil when installed. How do I determine the resistance from the seabed when lifting this structure? Is this something I can derive using a P-Y curve? I am using DNV 2.7.3 for lifting loads but in addition to this I need to account for seabed resistance. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas? Any help is much appreciated.

You determine the resistance in the same way that you determine soil capacity normally, noting any specific resistance factors specified by that code. What kind of capacity analysis you do depends on the specific subsea structure. I recommend contacting an offshore geotechnical engineering consultancy.

I have a stability analysis report which has a penetration vs soil resistance report. Now my question is, does the soil resistance to penetration have any relation with the soil resistance when the object is lifted out.
