Is it a right choice to select Plan 11 + Plan 53b flush plan for condensate process fluid without any caustic mixture? or do I have to select Plan 11 only.

As specified by my client, double seals shall be used with external flush (condensate) shall be used for process water and caustic services.

Your response is very much appreciated.

Thanks

You have some details to sort out with the client.

Typically double mechanical seals are provided with a "barrier fluid" that I would be hesitant to call a "seal flush".

Certainly for the caustic solutions you want to have "clean" fluid between the two seals.

Take a look at this link to see if this helps:

Having a plan 11 feed a double mechanical doesn't seem quite correct.

For the seals for the process eater application, does the process water contain solids that might be abrasive to the seal?

Good luck.

Ghartmann,

The process fluid does not contain any solids that is abrasive.

Thanks,
