Hi friends,

i search a devoloper for a powerful database to archive electronical components. In our firm we want to archive our electronical components that we are using and handle world wide.
It is important the the base is able to handle not only the electrical characterisation of a part (like temperature etc..) but also prices, in which products used, released, datasheet link, disabled, second source……..etc etc .
I search a really powerful database !!
I need Infos about companies who sells such databases.
Maybe someone of you are using such a database and could me help !

Thank you really much

2) Why don't you just make one in Access?

Electronic parts

First of all i want to collect informations about such a database.
We need a professional tool to handle our components.

We are using Agile's PDM. Conifugaration of it will give you most of your needs (using "Page 3").

For example, I put values of diferent parameters on the "page" and you can serach for them,
In the system you can store data sheets (more than one type)and we also have differnt sources for a part and it's manged in a covinient way.

There are a number of database-based systems out there to do this. Some (not all) of the questions are: do you want to define all the part classes and parametrics yourself or do you want to use a pre-existing structure? And do you already have lots of this information/content stored somewhere already or is this a ground-up clean slate project? The type of system you're looking for, by the way, is known as "Component/Supplier Management", or CSM. Some potential suppliers are i2, PTC, MatrixOne, Numeta, and Siliconexpert. They all have their pros and cons.

Just having a place to store datasheets and parametrics alone may not be adequate. What is the purpose of this project? Is it to drive reuse? Support mfg or field repair? Do you need workflow? How complex does that need to be? How much money do you have to spend on it?
