Hi all,
I have a new question about a Cabin Modification.
We modify an Embraer 170 Cabin, and we have to refurbish the seats.
We replace only the covers, and we don't change the foams.
We have the new cover materials Flammability Test Reports, but we don't have any report for the thread, and it seems quite difficult to find an adequate thread.
The aim is to don't have to proceed to a new Flammability Test on the refurbished seats.
I would like to know if the thread requires to be FAR25.853 certified ?
On the original Flammability Test Report of the seat's manufacturer, it doesn't appears a FAR25.853 Report for the thread.
I have only the specification "BONDED NYLON THREAD PER FED STD. V-T-295, TYPE II, CLASS A, SIZE E (REF. SIZE 69)".
Is an new thread with the same specification complies for a refurbishing ?
Thank you.
