Hello Experts,

I am currently working on designing a vertical pressure vessel in PV Elite. The vessel has a diameter of 3.2 meters and a height of 6 meters, excluding the ellipsoidal heads. It is supported by four legs of HE220B, each with a length of 1500mm.

However, I've encountered a challenge the design only passes the requirements if the legs are cross-braced.

My question to the community is what should be the appropriate size and type of section for the cross bracing, given that PV Elite does not specify this detail?

I appreciate any insights or guidance you can provide.

Thank you in advance for your help

You said 4 legs, but the calculation shows 6 legs.
You must review the data well.

Sorry for confusion but i was just reviewing the model, its passed with 4 legs with cross bracing.

More info: wind? seismic?, pressure?, temperature?, ....etc
Why not a skirt?
