I've seen Sx, Sy, Sn, Sp.

What is "Se" referring to? I am seeing it in a Section Properties table by McElroy Metal Deck.

Thank you...

In cold formed design Se is the elastic section modulus of the effective section calculated with extreme compression or tension fiber at Fy. Cold Formed Steel Design by Wei-Wen Yu is a good reference book for Cold Formed Steel design.

Se is defined as "Elastic section modulus of the effective section calculated with extreme compression or tension fiber at Fy" per 1986 AISI Cold-form spec (from my 1994 UBC Chapter 22 Division V).

You may want to look into the latest AISI Cold-form spec.
