Seismic and Nozzle Evaluation

Dear All,

I just want to know, Do I need to subject the vessel connected to the pipe for seismic analysis OR just the pipe only?

Also, Do I have to evaluate the nozzle loads of vessel with seismic loadcase?

Please I need your opinion and expertise.

I would say yes. Why would you not check EQ loads on the vessel?

The purpose of any analysis is to check if everything is OK. Without testing a part interconnected to another part you have not checked the total system.

(You do not leave out any part when you check a car for road safety.)
