Are there rules of thumb to consider when selecting a glycol makeup system? I have a very small glycol chilled water system consisting of only 500 gallons. I have looked into glycol makeup systems ranging from a Wessels 6 gallon unit to a B&G 55 gallon system. Prices range from $500 to $3,600.

What criteria do I need to consider?

Thanks Chris, but I can't get that file to open. Can I find it somewhere else?

It is not hard to use a simple dose tank to feed on the suction side of the pump. Pipe it up so that it can be isolated, and then pressurized with the pump discharge and push it in to the suction. You can pump or gravity fill the tank depending on the size.

Just some pipe and valves.

If you have a tight system, adding glycol should not be a major concern, but you do need to check it for inhibitors on a regular schedule.
