Self-Supporting Tower

Hi All,

I am working on a design of a triangular self-suporting tower and using TIA-222-F standard. TIA-222-F Table 2 shows the values for DF (direction of factor for flat members) for normal, 60 and 90 degree wind directions. I would like to know what factors should we consider for 30 degree and 45 degree wind direction. Any input will be a great help.

I believe interpolation is allowed. It has been a while since I used that standard, but if I recall correctly, it is allowed.

Aren't those tower mostly designed and manufactured by major tower companies such as Valmont, Sabre, etc.?

To design, why not use RisaTower to do the calculation?

There is some hand calculation examples at the website of Risa3D if you need it.
