i was estimating the heat load in the server room. 7500w per rack but i know its electrical unit not cooling load. can i covert 7500w to cooling load for me to determine the size of AC ill be using? thanks.

That would be the conservative way to do it. How often do you think those CPUs are computing at 100% load? There is some diversity here.

See "HVAC Equations, Data, and Rules of Thumb" by Bell and Angel.

That's an unusual question for a trained Engineer to ask. Is this a homework problem?

7500W per rack is pretty low anymore. Be sure to plan around any expansion or improvement in computing power so you don't need to update your system in a few years when new servers are installed.

@RandomUserName

thanks for the reference.

@hendersdc

thank you sir, a server room for a school. i put 2TR in their server room for provision since i dont have info yet of what will they put there.

@willard3
thank you sir, im just new in designing, hope you'll understand.

I would say you should be safe using the full loading of the rack. Last data center I did we were advised that most racks anymore operate at 100% loading at much higher densities than in the past. I think hendersdc has you on the right track.
