I have a customer that wants to convert his machine from hydraulic to electric servo motors, they are making mechanical changes to the design, but they have not completed this. Does anyone know what info he will need to get to a budgetary # for the cost to do this? anyone know of a form we could provide him? Thanks,

Hey - that's not fair. The guy is asking what information is needed. Not what the thing will cost.

One can usually arrive at a ballpark number if one puts down the number of controlled movements, the force and speed of each movement, the accuracy needed and also what kind of control is needed. If there is already a controller for the hydraulic system, it can *perhaps* be used to control the electrical movements (if standard signals like bipolar voltage, RS 485, Profibus etc are used already).

The number of options gets large very soon and it is better to let a company that specializes in this kind of job do it.
