What happened to "set rotate point" in NX10, when I try to use it, it says its not registered, how do I do that?

What button / where sits that button is it you are trying ?
does RMB in the graphics Set rotate Reference ( note slightly different name) work ?

The 3DConnexion / Spaceball toolbar contains such a button, is it that you are trying ?
If so, is NX10 a new install on this computer ?

Regards,
Tomas

yeah i think hes refering to that toost :p

moog2 see if you got 3dconnexion installed

if yes see on the : custom_dirs.dat
if you have this "$UGII_3DCONNEXION_DIR/$UGII_VERSION"

or on: ugii_env.dat
if you have this: "UGII_3DCONNEXION_LIBRARY=${UGII_3DCONNEXION_DIR}\${UGII_VERSION}\startup\3DxNX.dll"

(dunno if with just 1 of them works)

NX8.5 - NX9 - NX 10 - NX11

thanks for the replys,
In my environment variables I have UGII_3DCONNEXION_LIBRARY = %UGII_BASE_DIR%\ugalliance\vendor\startup\3DxNX.dll
Its the RMB and also the mapped button on my spaceball that no longer work, to get this message , since moving to NX10, from 8 (same m/c, both versions installed) It still works with NX8

in that path of your variable that .dll exists ?if yes:

did you tried to update the space mouse driver? if you updated it try unistaling and installing again (restart after uninstall), and if that dosnt work try a diferent version of the driver.

i have no problems here :S

I looked for the .dll and it's not located in the base dir the enviro var was looking for it.
Instead, there is one in 64bit prog files, and another in the x86 prog files.
I'm not sure which one its using, how could I find out?
I changed the enviro to point to the 64bit prog files location, but it hasn't fixed it.
The thing that puzzles me is even with the wrong location, the NX8 install is still working ok.

on your NX8 install dir you may have the correct value on ugii_env.dat or custom_dirs.dat

regarding x64 x86 go Allways for the same version of your OS if you have Windows x64 go for that version.

install 3d conexion and place the same variable as i told you earlier and try if it works, i tested it till NX 12 and its working allways.

NX8.5 - NX9 - NX 10 - NX11

I've tried the variable path to both locations and either seems to do anything at all.
I've overwritten the 2 env.dat files with the NX8 ones, and even that didn't fix it.
What it did do tho was slow the spaceball sensitivity down, which I also noticed when I'd installed NX10 as well.

did you uninstalled first and clean all junk ?

btw what OS do you have ?

NX8.5 - NX9 - NX 10 - NX11

I'm on windows 7. here's the thing.....its an old 5000 series spaceball (usb) and on the other 2 m/c's here, none of the buttons will work, where as on this m/c (originally running NX6) I somehow got the buttons working, even tho the software was the same on all m/c's.
So, I'm trying to fix it without a drastic re-install, because I know the buttons won't work after that.

and you cant make the same again to the buttons work after the driver re-install?

NX8.5 - NX9 - NX 10 - NX11

I don't want to risk it, the other m/c's were the same build, but the buttons never worked on those

ok, so sorry witouth testing it i cant help you, try GTAC
