Hopefully this is an easy one...

I want to set my default title block to me my company's custom title block. Please let me explain:
My custom title block is easy to use when creating a drawing out of the part environment. I can simply click Menu > New > Create Drawing (Brings up my custom title block as the first option. easy.) My problem, however, is starting with no parts or assemblies open. To use my title block, I have to click Menu > New > *scroll until I see my title block*. I want to be able to select Menu > New *hover* > Draft. It now currently says: "ANSI Draft - Creates a new draft document using the default draft template". I need to change that "default draft template" to my custom title block, not the generic Solid Edge title block.

Sorry for the lengthy explanation for something that is probably simple. Thanks for your help!

In draft environment try going to tools, options, file locations tab and setting User Templates path to be the folder where your template is kept.

I don't know if this has changed in more recent versions though.

nchristo,
Assuming you're using a newer version of SE (I'm on ST4) and if I understand what you're looking for, then here is what you have to do:
- First make sure you have your title block saved as a template file in the "program > SolidEdge > Template" folder.
- From there hit the application button in the top left > Solid Edge Options > Helpers Tab > Edit Creation Options.
- On the pop up box hit "browse", then navigate to your template file. Give it a display name. Description is optional. Then hit "Add." You can choose to remove the other creation tabs or simply move yours to the top, or even leave it as it.

This will change the Application> new hover menu. You can also choose to change your default templates as well while you're in there.
