Dear list,
I have used mental ray (the underlying rendering engine for Photo Studio) in other software but am now testing the rendering components of Catia.
I can't seem to find a way of setting the ambient light level for the scene. Have looked in Options -> Photo Studio, the Shooting Definition, View -> Lighting.
The only way I can achieve deep shadows is by setting material Ambient components to 0. However, this is not acceptable for any kind of Final Gathering or Global Illumination rendering.
Where would one set the ambient light level for a scene? Am I missing something fundamental here?
Kind Regards,
Thomas
