Hi all,
I am a new player of ProE, I am planning to install a copy (Wildfire 2.0) in my PC. I have no idea of what special requirements it takes. I used Solidworks before, & I know fairly well what it requires to get the software running smoothly. e.g. harddrive space, graphics card... etc.

My question is:
Is it practical to install a ProE together with SW under the same roof (same PC?)
I have got a Nvidea card Quadro FX1300, is this enough?
Any other areas I need to be aware of?

Please advise.
Thanks,

Yes, provided that there is enough room... Running them at the same time would probably really slow things down (I've had to do it, but only for a few minutes while exporting/importing). If they are installed on the same computer, they won't start fighting each other in the hard disk while you sleep (that would be kind of cool, though).

Yes. NVidia's generally work great with Pro/E.

As for any other requirements, check
Good luck!

Hi justkeepgiviner (Mechanical),
Thanks for your info! It is very helpful as I have had some bad experiences in some software installation before. It didn't turn out that good at the end...

I will try it out & the hardware req't spec. is great too. Thanks again.

Regards,
