Sewage Force Main Discharge 1

I have a sewage force main discharge which is on a long down hill grade after a high point. The line is 6" and the grade is about 15%. I am looking to slow the velocity vbefore entering the manhole. Any ideas how to do this? I am think a larger pipe with as "S" trap.

Consider a full port back-pressure sustaining valve for wastewater applications.

I'm a structural pud, but I worked on a project where we used manholes with vortex inserts to slow down velocities. They went into manholes and apparently slowed down the flow at each one.

The force main COULD be up to the high point..
If so, the line is gravity sewer between high point and discharge location with inspection manholes and you may prefer the use of drop manholes to keep slope reasonable ..

If you post a sketch of the profile ,together with pump data you may get better responds..
