I need a little help on calculating head loss with the introduction of heavy sewer grit into the equation.
I am running 425 ft of 6" aluminum hi-line, lifting 25 ft out of the wetwell then the remainder of the line runs level until we hit a manifold at the end that allows us to control the outlet direction, this manifold has a 5 ft vertical rise thru a valve with two 90 deg bends.
We are using a Hydra-tech S6CSL hydraulic submersable pump(See attachment). Based on my calculations and using a threshold of 600 GPM we should have approximatly about 53 ft of head loss. I am concerned at 600 GPM and 6 FPS that possibly we are dropping out our solids?
Any thoughts?
